' Additional Site Assessment and Soil Vapor Extraction Pilot Test Report
ERNIE'S GENERAL STORE
' 4407 East Waterloo Road, Stockton, California
' 1.0. INTRODUCTION
At the request of Mr.Ernest P.Giannecchini,AdvancedGeoEnvironmental,Inc.(AGE)has prepared
' this report of environmental activities conducted at the site located at 4407 East Waterloo Road,
Stockton, California. The report documents the following environmental activities conducted in
November and December 2006:
• On 22 November 2006,two paired CPT soil borings were advanced to further delineate the
lateral and vertical extents of hydrocarbon-impacted soil and ground water at the site.
' 0 On 14 December 2006, one additional shallow ground water monitoring well was installed
on the property located at 4318 East Pepsi Place, Stockton, California, approximately
' 250 feet west of the site,to verify and monitor the eastern boundary of the dissolved methyl
tertiary-butyl ether(MTBE)plume. The well was developed and sampled during the ground
water monitoring event conducted on 04 January 2007; details of the development and
' sampling will be included in Quarterly Report-First Quarter 2007.
• On 12, 13, and 15 December 2006, three shallow-screened SVE wells and three
' deeper-screened SVE wells were installed on-site for use in SVE pilot tests.
• On 26 and 27 December 2006,two 8-hour SVE pilot tests were conducted to provide vapor
extraction data for the proper design of a soil remediation system. The pilot test conducted
' on 27 December 2006 utilizing the deeper-screened vapor wells was terminated after
approximately 1 hour due to very poor flow rates.
The site and the surrounding area are illustrated on Figure 1;a plan of the site, including soil boring
and well locations, is illustrated on Figure 2. Site background information is summarized in
' Appendix A.
This report is prepared in accordance with guidelines established by the Central Valley Regional
' Water Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB)for the investigation ofunderground storage tank(UST)
sites.Field work was performed as detailed in the AGE-preparedAdditional Site Assessment and Soil
Vapor Extraction Pilot Test Work Plan, dated 20 June 2006 and the AGE-prepared Additional Site
' Assessment and Soil Vapor Extraction Pilot Test Work Plan Addendum, dated 07 August 2006. San
Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD)correspondence and work plan approval
' letters are included in Appendix B.
' 2.0. CPT LITHOLOGIC INVESTIGATION
On 22 November 2006, two paired soil borings (CPT-1 and CPT-2) were advanced at the site for
1 Advanced GmEnvironmental,Inc.
