Giannecchini,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE)has <br /> prepared this work plan for the destruction of five ground water monitoring wells and six <br /> soil vapor extraction wells at 4407 East Waterloo Road, Stockton, California (site). The <br /> location of the site is illustrated in Figure 1. Locations of structures, borings and monitoring <br /> wells related to the site are illustrated in Figure 2. Site background information is provided <br /> in Appendix A. <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> In a letter dated 02 May 2011 (Appendix B), the California Regional Water Quality Control <br /> Board (CRWQCB)directed preparation of a work plan to destroy ground water monitoring <br /> and soil vapor extraction wells at 4407 East Waterloo Road, Stockton, California, in <br /> accordance with the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) <br /> Standards For Well Construction and Destruction. <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> A total of four ground water monitoring wells (MW-1 through MW-4) and six soil vapor <br /> extraction wells (VW-1 through VW-6) have been installed on-site and one ground water <br /> monitoring well was installed off-site (MW-5). Well construction details are summarized in <br /> Table 1 and boring logs are included in Appendix C. Elevated concentrations of petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons were detected in soil samples collected during the installation of wells MW-2, <br /> MW-3, MW-4, VW-1 and VW-6.
