Giannecchini,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE)has prepared this work plan for the destruction of five ground water monitoring wells and six soil vapor extraction wells at 4407 East Waterloo Road, Stockton, California (site). The location of the site is illustrated in Figure 1. Locations of structures, borings and monitoring wells related to the site are illustrated in Figure 2. Site background information is provided in Appendix A. INTRODUCTION In a letter dated 02 May 2011 (Appendix B), the California Regional Water Quality Control Board (CRWQCB)directed preparation of a work plan to destroy ground water monitoring and soil vapor extraction wells at 4407 East Waterloo Road, Stockton, California, in accordance with the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) Standards For Well Construction and Destruction. SCOPE OF WORK A total of four ground water monitoring wells (MW-1 through MW-4) and six soil vapor extraction wells (VW-1 through VW-6) have been installed on-site and one ground water monitoring well was installed off-site (MW-5). Well construction details are summarized in Table 1 and boring logs are included in Appendix C. Elevated concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons were detected in soil samples collected during the installation of wells MW-2, MW-3, MW-4, VW-1 and VW-6.
