0
14 April 2008
AGE-NC Project No. 01-0839
In addition,AGE proposes in the near future to utilize granulated activated carbon(GAC) vessels
to remediate the hydrocarbon-impacted soil vapor once concentrations decline to 200 parts per
million volume (ppmv). AGE anticipates that concentrations will reach this threshold(200 ppmv)
within 6 to 12 months of continuous operation of the catalytic oxidizer SVE system. The use of GAC
vessels would off-set the costs of propane fuel necessary for the operation of the TCAT 250.
AGE will modify the existing San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District (SJVAPCD)
"Authority to Construct"permit(No.N-7738-1-0)to reflect the purposed SVE model modifications,
as well as,the transition to GAC vessels following the decline in concentrations to 200 ppmv;a copy
of the new SJVAPCD permit packet is included in Appendix B. Once approved by the EHD,AGE
anticipates the installation of the TCAT 250 in the end of May 2008.
Please contact our office at(209) 467-1006 if you have any questions or comments.
Sincerely,
Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc.
r* Not
RC7473 ,k
Ally L.
