' 30 June 2004
AGE-NC Project No 01-0839
IPage 3 of 4
ITAME was detected In the water samples collected from well MW-4 at a concentration of 6 µg/1
No other analytes were detected at or above laboratory detection limits In the ground water samples
' analyzed The laboratory analytical results are summarized on Table 2 The laboratory report(CTEL
Lab Project No CT214-0403009), QA/QC report and chain-of-custody form are included In
Appendix C -
4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
IThe following conclusions were drawn from the results of this investigation
I0 Groundwater elevations at the site ranged 33 53 feet to 33 63 feet below MSL, Indicating
an increase In ground water elevation from the previous quarter The Inferred ground water
flow direction was north to northeast at a gradient of 0 001 feet/feet
I • TPH-g was detected for the first time In wells MW-3 and MW-4 TPH-g was detected during
one previous monitoring event in well MW-1 during the December 2003 monitoring event
• MTBE and 1,2-DCA were detected for the third consecutive quarter
• However,BTEX compounds were not detected In any of the ground water samples analyzed,
Indicating the detections of TPH are sole and Isolated peaks on the sample chromatography
correlating to only MTBE
5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
Based on the findings of this investigation, AGE recommends
• Continuation of the quarterly ground water monitoring program The next monitoring event
was performed in May 2004
• Preparation of a work plan to characterize the extent of soil contamination beneath the
existing/former UST location
I
I
IAdvanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
