INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request ofl\4r Ernest P Giannecchuii ofEmie's General Store,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, <br /> Inc (AGE) has prepared this work plan for the installation of four ground water monitoring wells <br /> and the advancement of one soil boring at 4407 East Waterloo Road,Stockton,California(site) The <br /> location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1 A site plan is illustrated on Figures 2 and 3 <br /> The San Joaquin County Public Health Services -Environmental Health Division(PHS-EHD) has <br /> directed by letter dated 06 November 2001 that a work plan be prepared to investigate the extent of <br /> contamination in the soil and ground water at the site (Appendix A) This work plan has been <br /> prepared in accordance with Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) <br /> guidelines for the investigation of underground storage tanks (UST) sites <br />' This work pian provides a description of the scope ofwork and procedures for the installation of four <br /> ground water monitoring wells, advancement of one soil boring, and collection and analysis of soil <br /> and ground water samples <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> rThe site is located at 4407 East Waterloo Road, Stockton, Califorma, in a topographically flat area <br /> at an elevation between 30 and 35 feet above mean sea level The property is currently occupied by <br /> a one-story grocery market and a gasoline fueling facility Five fuel dispensers are located south of <br /> the market, four fuel dispensers are located east of the market and two fuel USTs are located <br /> southeast of the market Presently the facility operates one split 15,000-gallon UST containing <br /> 10,000 gallons of diesel fuel and 5,000 gallons of premium unleaded fuel and one 15,000-gallon <br /> UST containing regular unleaded fuel <br /> On 05 January 1999, one 12,000-gallon fuel UST and two 10,000-gallon fuel USTs were removed <br /> from the site In September 2001, five soil borings were advanced at the site Background <br /> information and results of the January 1999 tank removal and September 2001 investigation can be <br /> Ifound in the AGE-prepared document Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation Report, dated 26 <br /> October 2001 Soil and groundwater analytical data from these investigations can be found in Tables <br /> I 1 through 3 A cross-section depicting the general lithology and the approximate distribution of <br /> contaminants in the soil beneath the site is illustrated on Figure 4 <br /> I <br /> Advanced Geo Environmental,Inc <br /> I <br />
