IS December 2001 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 01-0839 <br /> IPage 3 of 8 <br /> 3 2 DRILLING AND SOIL SAMPLING <br /> I AGE proposes to advance one angled soil boring and install four ground water monitoring wells at <br /> g g <br /> the site as part of the site assessment Proposed well locations are illustrated in Figures 2 and 3 <br /> Based on soil and ground water contamination detected in the soil and ground water samples <br /> gr �' p <br /> I collected at the site,AGE proposes a soil boring and ground water mozutonng wells in the following <br /> locations <br /> • One soil boring approximately 12 feet south of soil sample D2-3, <br /> • One monitoring well approximately 5 feet northwest of B-2, <br /> Ia One monitoring well approximately 10 feet north of B-3, <br /> • One monitoring well in the planter adjacent to the eastern boundary of the UST area, and <br /> I9 One monitoring well in the planter adjacent to the southern boundary of the UST area <br /> The proposed soil boring will be advanced to 40 feet bsg at an angle of 25 degrees from vertical The <br /> proposed ground water monitoring well borings will be advanced to approximately 85 feet bsg All <br /> borings will be advanced utilizing a truck-mounted, hollow stem drill ng equipped with 8 25-inch <br /> I diameter hollow-stem augers Soil samples will be collected at five-foot intervals beginning at five <br /> feet bsg and extending to the total depth of each boring Total depths of borings may vary according <br /> to site conditions encountered during drilling <br /> ISelected soil samples will be analyzed by a State of California Department of Health Services <br /> (DHS)-certified laboratory for the following constituents <br /> • Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPH-g) in accordance with EPA <br /> Method 8015 Modified, <br /> • Benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and total xylenes (BTEX) and methyl tertiary butyl ether <br /> (MTBE) in accordance with EPA Method 8020, and <br /> IFuel additives including MTBE,di-isopropyl ether(DIPE),ethyl tertiary-butyl ether(ETBE), <br /> tertiary-amyl methyl ether(TAME), tertiary butanol(TBA), 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA) <br /> and ethylene dibromide (EDB) by EPA Method 8260 Modified <br /> Laboratory reports for the soil analyses,testing methods,laboratory quality assurance/quality control <br /> (QA/QC) reports, and sample chain of custody documentation will be presented in a report with <br /> findings and recommendations <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
