B121188 Environmental Management Inc U-Haul#709-50 <br /> ' 002-70950 03: Groundwater Monitoring Report <br /> 8/13/01 <br /> • 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> This report presents a summary of activities and results of the groundwater monitoring program <br /> ' conducted during the second quarter of 2001 (July 9, 2001 — July 12, 2001) at U-Haul Facility #709-50 <br /> located at 2701 North Wilson Way in Stockton, California The report presents a brief summary of <br /> ' previous groundwater monitoring results together with the procedures used and results from the most <br /> recent groundwater monitoring event <br /> I 1 SITE LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION <br /> ' U-Haul Facility 709-50 is located at 2701 North Wilson Way on the northwest corner of the intersection <br /> of North Wilson Way and Sanguinetti Lane in Stockton, California (Figure 1) The site is situated in a <br /> ' commercial area and is currently used as an equipment storage and rental facility The site is generally <br /> flat with a slight grade to the southeast The site elevation is approximately 21 feet above mean sea level <br /> A general site plan is included as Figure 2 <br /> �, • <br /> 12 PROJECT AUTHORIZATION <br /> In January 1999, Blaes Environmental was contracted by Amerco Real Estate Company/U-Haul <br /> International (Amerco/U-Haul) to conduct a soil and groundwater remediation program at the site The <br /> remediation program included developing a remedial action plan (RAP), conducting remedial testing, and <br /> ' performing quarterly groundwater monitoring and reporting Prior to initiating remedial activities at the <br /> site, the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division (SJC) requested several additional <br /> groundwater monitoring events to confirm the concentration of petroleum hydrocarbons in groundwater <br /> at the site and to further evaluate the extent of the hydrocarbon plume in groundwater This report <br /> ' documents one of the additional groundwater monitoring events <br /> ' 13 PROGRAM OBJECTIVES <br /> The objective of the current quarterly groundwater monitoring program was to provide additional data <br /> ' (monitoring and analytical data) to further evaluate groundwater conditions beneath the site Following <br /> completion of this groundwater monitoring event and pursuant to a directive from the SJC, Arnerco/U- <br /> ' Haul will begin remedial feasibility testing at the site <br /> ' 1 <br />
