1 131808 Environmental Management Inc U-Haul#709-50 <br /> 002-70950-04 Groundwater Monitoring Report <br /> 5/30/03 <br /> 1 <br /> • 4.0 CONCLUSIONS <br /> Blaes Environmental conducted the groundwater monitoring and sampling event for the first quarter of <br /> 2003 at U-Haul facility #709-50 in Stockton, California on March 24-27, 2003 Average groundwater <br /> ' levels recorded in March 2003 were approximately five feet higher than those recorded during the <br /> December 2002 monitoring event Based on the groundwater level measurements from both "B" and <br /> 1 "C" casing wells, the groundwater surface map for March 2003 indicates a very flat gradient toward the <br /> south <br /> ' Analytical results of groundwater samples collected in March 2003 from both "B" and "C" casing wells <br /> 1 indicated the presence of hydrocarbons in groundwater Results of samples collected from the "B" <br /> casing wells revealed that the main portion of the hydrocarbon plume (benzene concentrations greater <br /> 1 than 10,000 pg/L) is located around wells MW-2B, MW 3B, and MW-4B Results of samples collected <br /> from the "C" casing wells revealed higher hydrocarbon concentrations near wells MW-2C and MW-4C <br /> Some groundwater samples from both "B" and "C" casing wells were found to have inconclusive levels <br /> of fuel additives <br /> 1 <br /> i <br /> 1 <br /> 1 <br /> 1 <br /> 10 <br /> 1 <br /> 1 <br />
