CONCO-WEST, INC. – EMERGENCY ACTION PLAN <br />3 <br />  <br />  <br /> <br />In the event of an emergency involving hazardous materials and/or hazardous waste immediately <br />notify: <br /> <br />1. Notify all personnel and evacuate if necessary <br />2. Notify local emergency responders by calling 911 <br />3. Local Unified Program Agency (UPA) – Environmental Health Department (209) 468-3420 <br />4. Continue notifications listed on the Consolidated Emergency Response/Contingency Plan <br />as applicable <br /> <br />Under no circumstances shall an employee attempt to fight a fire that has passed the incipient <br />stage (that which can be put out with a fire extinguisher), nor shall any employee attempt to <br />enter a burning building to conduct search and rescue. These actions shall be left to <br />emergency services professionals who have the necessary training, equipment, and <br />experience (such as the fire department or emergency medical professionals). Untrained <br />individuals may endanger themselves and/or those they are trying to rescue. <br />  <br />B. Informing Conco-West, Inc. Employees of Fires and Emergency Situations <br />  <br />In the event of a fire or emergency situation, the Responsible Person(s) shall ensure <br />that all employees are notified as soon as possible using a pre-determined site <br />specific emergency notification method. The Responsible Person(s) shall provide <br />special instructions to all employees via verbal warnings or other means of <br />immediate notification available. <br /> <br />If a fire or emergency situation occurs after normal business hours, the Responsible <br />Person(s) shall contact all employees not on shift of future work status, depending on <br />the nature of the situation. <br />  <br />C. Emergency Contact Information <br />  <br />Responsible Person(s) shall maintain a list of all employees’ personal emergency <br />contact information and shall keep the list in the Emergency Action Plan and Documents <br />binder on top of the filing cabinet in the front office for easy access in the event of an <br />emergency. <br />  <br />D. Evacuation Routes <br />  <br />Emergency evacuation escape routes plans shall be posted at each entrance/exit. In the <br />event that a fire/emergency alarm is sounded or instructions for evacuation are given by <br />the Responsible Person(s). All employees (except those noted in Part III.F of this plan) <br />shall immediately gather at the pre-determined assembly point designated for assembly <br />during an emergency, front parking lot. <br />  <br />In the event that an employee has an impairment which would delay their ability to <br />assemble during an emergency, a plan to assist the impaired employee will be in <br />place and reviewed during initial safety/oversite meeting or before work begins. <br />  <br /> <br /> <br />
