SAN J OAQU I N Environmental Health Department <br /> CC LJ N T Y------- <br /> RCRA Large Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br /> Facility Name: Facility Address: Date: <br /> SUMIDEN WIRE PRODUCTS CORPORATION 1 1412 EL PINAL DR, STOCKTON July 07, 2020 <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> (CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> Item# Remarks <br /> every two years. If the required information cannot be provided,the materials must immediately be handled as a <br /> hazardous waste. Provide a corrective action statement and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department within 30 days. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class ll. <br /> 303 CCR 66265.33 Failed to maintain all communication or alarm systems, spill control, or decontamination equipment. <br /> OBSERVATION: The secondary containment pallet for the oily solids drums located in the used oil storage area <br /> was observed with a dark liquid inside of it. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:All facility spill control equipment shall be maintained as necessary to assure its proper <br /> operation in time of emergency. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Bring the spill pallet into proper working order by removing the liquid in the secondary <br /> containment and placing in the proper waste container. Provide a corrective action statement to the San Joaquin <br /> County Environmental Health Department within 30 days. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class ll. <br /> 605 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: Hazardous waste containers were observed on-site with incomplete labeling. The containers <br /> were: <br /> -One white plastic 275 gallon tote of oily water was observed near the rewinders without hazardous properties or <br /> physical state on the label. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: the <br /> words"Hazardous Waste", name and address of generator, hazardous properties, physical state, composition <br /> (contents), accumulation start date <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: The violation was corrected during the inspection by adding the hazardous property and <br /> physical state to the hazardous waste label. No further action is required to correct this violation. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class ll. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br /> documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br /> paperwork, by August 7, 2020. <br /> To minimize person to person contact EHD is choosing to write the name of person receiving the report instead <br /> of having them sign. Starting September 1, 2018, all in-office CERS help will be provided at EHD hourly rate <br /> ($152).
