The nitrate loading study was prepared to determine the long-term nitrate loading impact from
the proposed OWTS. The proposed development project includes:
1. A new classroom building and a 7,200 square foot gymnasium with a total of wastewater of 1,361
gallons per day generated by 585 students and staff.
2. The wastewater volume of 1,361 gallons per day is not to be used for septic design or size calculation.
Based on the information provided, the EHD can make the following findings:
1. The SSNL Study supports the suitability for OWTS usage for the proposed development project on
the above mentioned parcel, pursuant to San Joaquin County Ordinance Code Title 9, Section 9-
1105.2(d), provided proposed OWTS and 100% replacement area can meet all required minimum
setbacks from any water wells.
2. Soil boring analysis indicate groundwater at 17' below ground surface. OWTS shall have minimum of
8' of soil separation between bottom of dispersal field and groundwater.
If you have any questions please contact Naseem Ahmed, Registered Environmental Health Specialist,
REHS, at nahmed@sjgov.org or (209) 468-3436.
w
Michael Kith, REHS
Program Coordinator
C: Condor consultants
1868 E.
