Box 100
Sacramento CA 95812-0100
Subject: 101 Wilson Way S., Stockton, CA
Review Summary Report December 2014 Response CUF Claim No 8479
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed Review Summary
Report—Additional Work, Fifth Review(5th RSR), dated 09 December 2014 from Kirk Larson of
the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) Cleanup Fund (CUF) for above-referenced
site. The CUF recommended that the EHD direct the responsible party (RP) to conduct regular
groundwater monitoring of all wells to define the downgradient extent of groundwater
contamination and to continue active remediation to achieve Policy goals in a timely manner.
The CUF determined that other impediments to case closure identified by the EHD were
satisfied by site conditions, specifically: 1) that adequate data is available for a conceptual site
model, 2) that the secondary source has been removed through excavation and active
remediation, 3) that the case meets the vapor intrusion criterion 2a by Scenario 1, and 4) that
the case meets the direct contact criterion by Policy Criterion 3b.
By letter dated 15 July 2014, the EHD had directed the RP to submit professional evaluations
and opinions on all of the impediments to closure referred to above; in view of the CUF's
professional evaluations provided in 5" RSR, the EHD will change the directives to completion
of the assessment of the lateral extent of impacted groundwater and continuing groundwater
remediation. The EHD will also modify the LTCP checklist and path to closure pages on
GeoTracker to reflect the professional opinions rendered by the CUF.
Questions or comments should be directed to Angelica Sandoval Marin at (209) 468-2807 or to
Nuel Henderson at 209)468-3436.
Sincerely,
Angelica Sandoval Marin, REHS Nuel Henderson, PG
Senior Registered Environmental Engineering Geologist
Health Specialist
2014/15 Review Summary Report Response 0115 CUF Claim No 8479.doc
