Work Plan Addendum - July 1999 <br /> TOP FILLING STATION <br /> 101 South Wilson Way, Stockton, California <br /> 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr. Ed Endich of Top Filling Station,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. (AGE) <br /> has prepared this Work Plan Addendum for the site located at 101 South Wilson Way, California <br /> (site). The location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1. A plan of the site is illustrated on Figure 2. <br /> The San Joaquin County Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) <br /> directed by letter dated 03 June 1999 the preparation of a work plan addendum to install on and off- <br /> site ground water monitoring wells and installation of additional soil borings utilizing cone <br /> penetrometer testing (CPT)technology. This work plan is prepared in accordance with PHS-EHD <br /> and Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) guidelines for the <br /> investigation of underground storage tanks (UST) sites. <br /> The purpose of the proposed investigation is to assess the petroleum hydrocarbon impact to shallow <br /> ground water on and off-site and to characterize local soil lithology. This work plan provides a scope <br /> of work and procedures for CPT soil boring advancement and installation, development and <br /> sampling of ground water monitoring wells. <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located at 101 South Wilson Way,on the southwest corner of the intersection of Wilson <br /> Way and Market Street. The site is located in an area of low topographic relief at an elevation <br /> between 10 and 15 feet above mean sea level in the City of Stockton, San Joaquin County, <br /> California. The site is within the northwest quarter of Section 32, Township 1 North, Range 6 East, <br /> Mount Diablo Base and Meridian (Stockton West Quadrangle, 7.5-Minute USGS Topographic <br /> Series, 1968, photo revised 1987). <br /> The Top Filling Station formerly operated as a gasoline dispensing station and automobile repair <br /> facility circa 1925 through 1998. A warehouse/auto repair shop and service station building are <br /> located on the site. The surrounding area is utilized for residential and light industrial purposes. <br /> 2.1. UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL <br /> In December 1988, two gasoline USTs were removed from the site. Following tank removals, soil <br /> samples were collected beneath each tank invert and beneath the associated product piping. The <br /> samples were submitted to a State of California Department of.Health Services (DHS)-certified <br /> laboratory for analysis of TPH-g and BTEX.
