Management considers injury and illness <br /> prevention juntas Important as production. Therefore, it is our policy to maintain safe and healthful working <br /> conditions, and to follow operating practices that wili safeguard all employees, and in safe working conditions and <br /> efficient operations. Safety responsibilities first begin with one as an individual, then to everyone on the Galt <br /> Super lubeTeam. It is with one's participation that injuries and equipment damage will be avoided and everyone <br /> will benefit. <br /> Dudes and Responsibilities: <br /> The effectiveness and efficiency of any operation Increases when everyone knows their role In the dif ier+ent <br /> operating area. Safety is one ofthose areas. Duties and responsibilities talk to the safety manager. <br /> Resnonsibilkles of Emplavem. <br /> All Employees are responsible to work in a safe manner and Immediately report and hazards to one's <br /> supervisor. Failure to follow safe work procedures. or violation of safety rules will result in disciplinary <br /> action. The Ulow list applies to all employees; <br /> 1. Work in accordance with the safety ruies and regulations: <br /> 2. Wear appropriate safety equipmentas required by the job <br /> 3. Report alfInjuries ,unsafe conditions, and practices toone'smanager <br /> C Ask questions if there Is a misunderstanding about the way to perform a duty. Do not attempt to perform <br /> any job or operate any machinery in which one has not been property trained to operate_ <br /> 5. Contribute ideas or suggestions fnrthe improvement ofthe safety program. <br /> 6. Report all accidents to one's immediate supervisor <br /> 7. Report all unsafe or broken tools or equipment <br /> 8. A major portion of the accident that occur are mused by the "thoughtless act.` Do not take chances , it is not <br /> worth it <br /> 9. Observe all warning signs and safety measures <br /> 10. AVOID all horseplay and never distract another worker <br /> 11.. Use protective clothing and equipment when needed <br /> 12. To Oft any heavyobjects, squat down and keep one's back straight m use leg muscles when lifting. <br /> 13_ When using sharp edged toots, cut away from boy. <br /> 14_ Keep floors and passageways dear of material , scrap, tools, fluids and equipment <br /> 15. Obtain date concerning the nature of any emergencies <br /> 16. Notifies their supervisor andforemergency coordinator of the emergency by anycommunkation means <br /> available ( phone, Intercom , shouting , etc ) <br /> 17. Aids their supervisor and the emergency coordinator in obtatning addttlonal information necessaryfor <br /> completing the emergency information report form <br /> I& Atthe direction oftheir supervisor initiates control measures to manage and eliminate the release ,fire, or <br /> explosion, or completes the required emergency shutdown procedures and evacuates the area. <br />
