The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been addressed for QUAIL LAKES CAR WASH as of October07, 2019. Open violations from June 04, 2019 inspection ❑ This violation was corrected ❑ This violation will be corrected by (date): ❑ Supporting documents included Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: Violation #501 - Failed to completely label stationary hazardous waste tanks. The 1000 gallon used oil tank and the 300 gallon used antifreeze tank were missing the accumulation start dates on the hazardous waste label. All hazardous waste tanks shall be marked with the words"Hazardous Waste" and the accumulation start date. Immediately ensure that all hazardous waste tanks are marked with the required information. ❑ This violation was corrected ❑ This violation will be corrected by(date): ❑ Supporting documents included Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: Violation#502 - Failed to comply with new hazardous waste tank system assessment requirements. Facility does not have a tank assessment for the 1000 gallon used oil tank and the 300 gallon used antifreeze tank. The owner or operator of a hazardous waste tank shall obtain a written assessment reviewed and certified by an independent, qualified, professional engineer, registered in California attesting that the system has sufficient structural integrity, is acceptable for the transferring, storing, and treating of hazardous waste, and that the tanks and containment system are suitably designed. Immediately have an assessment prepared for the 1000 gallon used oil tank and the 300 gallon used antifreeze tank. Submit a schedule showing when this will be accomplished to the EHD and submit a hazardous waste tank assessment once this has been completed. ❑ This violation was corrected ❑ This violation will be corrected by(date): ❑ Supporting documents included Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: Violation #601 -Stored hazardous waste on site longer than 90 days without a permit or authorization. The 1000 gallon used oil tank and the 300 gallon used antifreeze tank were missing the accumulation start dates on the hazardous waste label. Facilities who generate more than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month may store waste on site up to 90 days. Since it cannot be determined how long the hazardous waste has been on site, immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest or a disposal record showing that the waste had been generated within 90 days.
