COMMUNITY <br /> F U E €n 5 Process Hazardous Waste Management <br /> stk- EHS- POL-015 . c <br /> 1 INTRODUCTION AND APPLICABILITY <br /> This document outlines process waste management that is either Hazardous Waste ( Federally or State <br /> Regulated ) or Universal Waste for the Community Fuels facility located in Stockton , CA ( "the facility" ) . The <br /> facility is located at 809 -C Snedeker Avenue, Rough and Ready Island , Stockton CA 95203 . The facilities <br /> EPA Number is CAR 000186668 . <br /> 2 WASTE CHARACTERIZATION <br /> It is very important that the waste be characterized correctly . The Waste Management section in the <br /> laboratory Chemical Hygiene Plan discusses the definition of Hazardous Waste . In this section , we outline <br /> the waste categories that are expected to be generated . <br /> 1 . Organic chemicals and solvents - Hazardous Waste ; must meet all requirements for hazardous <br /> waste . <br /> 2 . Oils and fats (this category excludes used oil ) — oils and fats that cannot be disposed of as used oil <br /> are, in general , hazardous waste and must meet all requirements for hazardous waste . However, <br /> oils and fats at the facility can be disposed of as used oil . <br /> 3 . Used oil — hazardous waste; must meet all requirements for hazardous waste . <br /> a . Used oil is any oil that has been refined from crude oil , or any synthetic oil , that has been <br /> used , and as a result of use as a consequence of extended storage, or spillage, has been <br /> contaminated with physical or chemical impurities . <br /> b . Used oil includes, but not limited to, used motor oil and used industrial oil , as well as <br /> biodiesel . <br /> c . Used oil is a hazardous waste . Moreover, mixing used oil with any other hazardous waste <br /> is prohibited . <br /> d . Used oil must be disposed of separately, in its own hazardous waste container . <br /> e . The container must be labeled with the words " USED OIL" in addition to the hazardous <br /> waste label . Do not use the expression "Waste Oil" . <br /> 4 . Solid Hazardous Waste — Hazardous waste; must meet all requirements for hazardous waste . <br /> 5 . Solid non- hazardous waste ( refuse/garbage ) ; non - hazardous waste . Can be disposed of in regular <br /> trash can . <br /> 6 . Aerosol cans — Universal Waste <br /> 6 <br />
