(ohADVANCED BIOFUELS <br /> COMMUNITY <br /> F U E L S <br /> Maintenance Mechanic / Operator <br /> The Maintenance Mechanic/Operator will provide support for the Community Fuels <br /> Biodiesel production facility in the Port of Stockton . He/she is knowledgeable of all <br /> production equipment and has the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment <br /> throughout the facility. They will be responsible for completing work orders, carryout <br /> preventative maintenance schedules, performing repairs, and the installation of new <br /> equipment . In addition they will be expected to troubleshoot equipment on process <br /> systems to support production , future projects . Teamwork and coordination is essential <br /> to this position ' s success . The Maintenance Mechanic will be working side by side with <br /> the Instrumentation & Electrical Technician and Operators, as needed . <br /> Summary of Responsibilities . <br /> Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following : <br /> • The general maintenance and upkeep of the utilities system , e . g . boiler, cooling <br /> water, chill water, water softener, plant air and nitrogen . <br /> • Perform maintenance and repair of pumps, valves, piping, and/or any other <br /> equipment necessary to maintain plant production . <br /> • Assist as necessary, any plant personnel as required in their responsibilities to <br /> help maintain plant production , safety, and environmental compliance . <br /> • Cross train , as needed , to fill in for operator vacancies because of sickness or <br /> vacations . <br /> • Specifically work hand in hand with I & E tech on a daily basis on assigned <br /> projects to meet and/or exceed company production goals . <br /> • Be available for after work hour call outs in cases of emergency that effect plant <br /> production . <br /> i <br /> • Use proper PPE and follow all safety guidelines when performing tasks . <br /> • Maintaining a clean and safe work area . Clean up mess after work has been <br /> completed . <br /> • Assistant and /or contribute to any necessary training, both safety and /or <br /> environmental related . <br /> • Gather any and all necessary info on equipment in order to have an accurate <br /> inventory of equipment type, manufacturer, part no . , specs, use, etc . . . <br /> • Perform maintenance task in both elevated and /or cramped areas ( e . g . working <br /> from ladders or in confined spaces ) . <br /> • Perform any welding, pipe fitting, and /or metal fabrication as is within general <br /> operational scope . ( Any large jobs or this sort will be contracted out . ) <br />
