Quarterly Report - June 1998
TOP FILLING STATION
101 South Wilson Way
Stockton, California
I
1.0. INTRODUCTION
In accordance with a request from Mr Ed Endlch of Top Filling Station, Advanced
GeoEnvironmental,Inc (AGE)has prepared this Quarterly Report for 101 South Wilson Way(site),
Stockton, California The location of the site and the immediately surrounding area are Illustrated
on Figure 1 Site structures and monitoring well locations are shown on Figure 2
rThe objective of the work was to momtor dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations in ground
water and to characterize ground water flow direction and gradient on the site This report is
prepared in accordance with guidelines established by the San Joaquin County Public Health
Services - Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and by the Central Valley Regional Water
Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB)for the investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites
A summary of previous investigations at the site was included in the Quarterly Report - October
1996, dated 22 November 1996, prepared by AGE
2.0. QUARTERLY MONITORING PROCEDURES
21 MONITORING WELL PURGE PROCEDURES
On 11 June 1998,the depth to ground water was measured to the nearest 0 01 foot from the tops of
the well casings in monitoring wells MW-I through MW-5,VW-IC, VW-2A and VW-3A utilizing
a Sollnst water level meter Ground water elevations from MW-I through MW-5 were calculated
I by subtracting the measured depth to ground water from the surveyed casing elevations (Table 1)
Ground water elevations with respect to mean sea level were plotted and contoured on a scaled site
map (Figure 3)
IAfter water levels were measured, approximately 10 to 18 gallons of ground water(a minimum of
three well volumes per well)were removed from wells MW-1 through MW-5,VW-1 C,VW-2A and
I
VW-3A utilizing a Grundfos Redi-Flo II submersible pump Temperature,pH and conductivity were
measured at regular purge volume intervals from each well using an ICM Model 52200 water
analyzer. Dissolved oxygen in purged water was measured at each well using a YSI Model 55
Dissolved Oxygen Meter at the conclusion of the purge process Field data and logs are presented
in Appendix A Purged ground water was contamenzed in 55-gallon drums and was stored on-site
in an area lacking general public access
Advanced GeoEnvmron mental,Inc
