Quarterly Report - December 1997
TOP FILLING STATION
101 South Wilson Way
Stockton, California
1.0 INTRODUCTION
' In accordance with a request from Mr Ed Endich of Top Filling Station, Advanced
GeoEnvironmental,Inc (AGE)has prepared this Quarterly Report for 101 South Wilson Way(site),
' Stockton, California The location of the site and the immediately surrounding area are illustrated
on Figure 1 Site structures and monitoring well locations are shown on Figure 2
' The objective of the work was to monitor dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations in ground
water and to characterize ground water flow direction and gradient on the site This report is prepared
in accordance with guidelines established by the San Joaquin County Public Health Services -
LEnvironmental Health Division(PHS-EHD) and the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control
Board (CVRWQCB) for investigation of underground storage tank (UST) Sites A summary of
' previous investigations at the site was included in the Quarterly Report - October 1996, dated 22
November 1996, prepared by AGE
2.0 QUARTERLY MONITORING PROCEDURES
' 2 1 MONITORING WELL PURGE PROCEDURES
On 12 December 1997 the depth to ground water in monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-5, V W-
1C, VW-2A and VW-3A as measured from the top of the well casings to the nearest 0 01 foot
utilizing a Solinst water level meter Ground water elevations from MW-1 through MW-5 were
calculated by subtracting the measured depth to ground water from the surveyed casing elevations
' (Table 1) Ground water elevations with respect to mean sea Ievel were plotted and contoured on a
scaled site map (Figure 3)
After water levels were measured, approximately 8 to 15 gallons of ground water (a minimum of
three well volumes per well)were removed from wells MW-l through MW-5,V W-1 C,VW-2A and
VW-3A utilizing a Grundfos Redi-Flo II submersible pump Temperature,pH and conductivity were
' measured at regular intervals from each well using an ICM Model 52200 water analyzer, to monitor
for stabilization of these characteristics during purging Dissolved oxygen was measured at each well
using a YSI Model 55 Dissolved Oxygen Meter following stabilization of the produced water
' Stabilization data and field logs are included with Appendix A,dissolved oxygen field measurements
are summarized in Table 2 Purged ground water was containerized in 55-gallon drums and stored
on-site in an area lacking general public access
Adâ–ºa"ced GeoEn\ironmental,Inc
