SAN J 0 A Q U 1 N Environmental Health Department <br /> U ; i y 1 Iii <br /> Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br /> Facility Name: Facility Address: Date: <br /> CHEEMA FREIGHTLINES 1 16200 S MCKINLEY AVE, LATHROP December 13, 2019 <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> (CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> Item# Remarks <br /> 106 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to train employees on waste handling and emergency procedures. <br /> OBSERVATION: At the time of inspection, it could not be demonstrated (not necessarily documented)that <br /> employees who handle hazardous waste were properly trained. <br /> Note:Asked operator if training is provided to employees who handle hazardous waste. Operator states that no <br /> training has been given. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: The business owner must ensure that all employees are thoroughly familiar with proper <br /> waste handling and emergency procedures, relevant to their responsibilities during normal facility operations and <br /> emergencies. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately train the employees. Provide proof of training within 30 days to the San <br /> Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD)for employees whose responsibilities include hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 403 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: The following open hazardous waste storage containers were observed in the hazardous waste <br /> storage area: <br /> -One 55 gallon drum with used paper oil filters observed with a non-secure lid. Operator corrected on site, secured <br /> ring around lid. <br /> -One 55 gallon drum with used paper oil filters observed with a non-secure lid. <br /> The following were observed in the north side of the facility: <br /> -One blue 55 gallon drum with waste solids observed with no lid. <br /> -One green 15 gallon drum with waste solids observed with non-secure lid. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A container holding hazardous waste shall always be closed during transfer and <br /> storage, except when it is necessary to add or remove waste. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed <br /> when not adding or removing waste.
