INTRODUCTION
At the request of Mr Ken Endich of Top Filling Station,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE)
has prepared the enclosed additional site assessment work plan for 101 South Wilson Way in
Stockton, California (the site) The work plan includes the advancement of three (3) cone
penetrometer testing(CPT)soil borings for the collection of soil and groundwater data The location
of the site is illustrated on Figure 1 A plan of the site is illustrated on Figure 2
This work plan provides a description of the scope of work and procedures to be used for CPT(Cone
Penetrometer Testing) soil boring advancement, ground water sample collection and analysis, and
boring abandonment The plan was prepared in accordance with California Regional Water Quality
Control Board - Central Valley Region(RWQCB) guidelines for the investigation of underground
storage tank (UST) sites
i
In letters dated 29 June 2005 and 31 August 2005, the San Joaquin County Environmental Health
Department(EHD) requested that due to uncertainties toward the northeast, east and southeast and
due to possible commingling with the 102 and/or 130 South Wilson Way ground water plumes, then
. additional lateral investigation and characterization of the Top Filling Station ground water plume
was warranted(Appendix B) Therefore,AGE is proposing to advance three CPT soil borings(CPT-
4, CPT-5 and CPT-6) off-site towards the east and southeast to further characterize the geological
and hydro-geological framework off-site and to delineate the lateral extent of the Top Filling Station
ground water plume CPT and ground water data collected from these borings will be used to
address the issue of possible commingling of ground water plumes occurring between the 101 S
Wilson Way plume and the adjacent 102 S Wilson way(102 site)and 130 S Wilson Way(130 site)
ground water plumes
2.0.
