INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this quarterly report for 101 South Wilson <br /> Way(the site),Stockton,California,the report documents fourth quarter 2004 procedures and results <br /> for a ground water monitoring event,progress of a soil vapor extraction(SVE)recovery system,and <br />' start-up procedures for a ground water pump-and-treat (P&T) remediation system The objectives <br /> of the site activities were to monitor dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations in ground <br /> water, to assess ground water flow direction and gradient, and to monitor the progress and <br /> effectiveness of SVE and P&T remediation at the site The site setting is illustrated on Figure 1 Site <br /> structures and monitoring well locations are depicted on Figure 2 <br /> I This report has been prepared in accordance with guidelines issued by the California Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board(RWQCB)-Central Valley Region for investigation of underground storage <br /> tank(UST)sites A summary of previous investigations at the site was included in the AGE-prepared <br /> I Quarterly Report - Third Quarter 2002, dated 13 December 2002 Ground water monitoring data <br /> acquired to date is included in the tables of this report <br /> Previous soil characteristics data obtained by a CPT investigation enabled AGE to define four <br /> informal hydrogeologic units (Quarterly Report- Second Quarter 2000, dated 31 July 2000) The <br /> informal hydrogeologic units were defined as Hydrologic Unit 1 (30 to 55 feet bsg), Hydrologic <br /> Unit 2(55 to 65 feet bsg),Hydrologic Unit 3 (65 to 85 feet bsg)and Hydrologic Unit 4(85 to at least <br /> 100 feet bsg) <br /> The following is a brief summary of ground water monitoring, SVE and P&T remediation activities <br /> performed at the site during the fourth quarter 2004 <br /> • Between 17 November 2004 and 29 December 2004 - Initiated on-site P&T interim ground <br /> water remediation utilizing on-site wells EW-1 and EW-2,discharged approximately 35,360 <br /> gallons of treated ground water into the City of Stockton sanitary sewer system <br /> • Between 01 October and 22 December 2004- Continued SVE remediation utilizing on-site <br /> SVE well VW-1 (A-B), extracted a total of approximately 7,088 pounds of petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons from the subsurface <br /> • 12 October 2004 - Monthly monitoring event performed on SVE remediation system <br /> E • 18 October 2004 - Monthly monitoring event performed on SVE remediation system <br /> • 17 November 2004 - Start-up monitoring and sampling performed on P&T remediation <br /> system <br /> . 23 November 2004 - Monthly monitoring event performed on SVE remediation system <br /> Advanced GeoEnviranmental,Inc <br />
