Wilson Way in Stockton,
California (the site) Three of the borings were completed as groundwater monitoring wells
' The purpose of the investigation was to assess the lateral and vertical extent of impacted soil
and groundwater at the site This report describes the activities performed between
December 1994 and January 1995 and presents the results of this investigation The location
' of the site is illustrated in Figure 1. A plan of the site is illustrated in Figure 2.
2.0 BACKGROUND
2.1 Site Location
I
Top Filling Station is located in a commercial area of central Stockton, in San Joaquin
County, California (Figure 1) The site is located on the southwest corner of the intersection
of Wilson Way and Market Street Two structures are located on the property The site
currently operates as a gasoline dispensing station
I2.2 UST Removal
It is our understanding that two underground storage tanks (USTs) were removed from two
separate locations (one on the north side of the gas station office and one on the southwest
side of the gas station office) at the site in 1988 Soil samples were collected beneath each
I UST and beneath the piping connecting the USTs to the pump island The samples were
analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH as gasoline) and volatile aromatics
(BTE&X) TPH as gas, and BTE&X were detected in soil samples collected beneath the
USTs at concentrations ranging from 22 parts per million (ppm) to 2,200 ppm
Q-6&l A.au s.. 1 1
UP R68 P[6R/I05YJ..tws
I
