rKLEINFELDER <br /> i <br /> File No 20-3801-01/A01 <br /> August 22, 1994 <br /> REVISED PROPOSAL <br /> LIMITED SOIL AND GROUNDWATER ASSESSMENT <br /> TOP FILLING STATION <br />' 101 SOUTH WILSON WAY <br /> STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA 95205 <br /> (APN 151-253-05/06/07) <br /> i <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> Kleinfelder is pleased to present this revised proposal to Top Filling Station This <br /> proposal was developed after discussion with Ms Linda Turkette of the San Joaquin <br /> Public Health Services Department, Environmental Health Division (SJCEHD) and <br /> Messrs Ed and Ken Endich of Top Filling Station, using Kleinfelder's current <br /> understanding of the site conditions, and is a preliminary understanding of the SJCEHD's <br /> desires and requirements We prepared this proposal based on information usually <br /> requested in a workplan by the State of California Regional Water Quality Control Board <br /> Central Valley Office (RWQCB), and the SJCEHD <br /> Kleinfelder is committed to providing a high level of service to its clients, commensurate <br />' with their wants and needs If a portion of this proposal does not meet the needs of the <br /> client, or if those needs have changed, Kleinfelder stands ready to consider appropriate <br /> modifications, subject to the standards of care to which we adhere as professionals <br /> Modifications such as changes in scope, methodology, scheduling, and contract terms and <br /> conditions may result in changes to the risks assumed by the client, as well as <br /> adjustments to our fees We look forward to the opportunity to serve you <br /> rBACKGROUND <br /> The site is located at 101 South Wilson Way in a commercial area of Stockton, <br /> California <br /> On December 7 1988 two underground gasoline storage tanks were removed from the <br /> project site At the time of the tank removal, a soil sample was obtained beneath each of <br />' both underground gasoline storage tanks and under each line to the supply island by Mr <br /> Nick Bokides of Precision Industries, Inc of Stockton, California The results of the <br /> analyses performed indicated concentrations of up to 2200 mg/kg, 22 mg/kg, 100 mg/kg, <br /> 68 mg/kg, and 520 mg/kg, Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as Gasoline (TPH-G), benzene, <br /> toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes, respectively, beneath the gasoline storage tanks <br /> Additionally, soil samples obtained from beneath the Imes to the supply island had less <br /> than the detection limit for all analyses performed <br /> DH and 7EI94 Page 1 of 6 <br /> Copyright 1994 Kleinfelder, Inc <br />
