John Alaniz [EH]
From: Jordan Bottorff <jbottorff@pacificethanol.com>
Sent: Monday, February 4, 2019 2:48 PM
To: John Alaniz [EH]
Subject: RE: Hazardous Waste Inspection Report
Hi John,
Yes, we have corrected this issue and it will not be a problem going forward. The following bullets note what actions
have been taken immediately and what continual actions will occur.
- This was an episodic removal of a former product that was no longer used. This similar mass removal of products
is not expected in the future.
- The contracted waste removal company, Ponder, that was provided the SDS and made the determination is no
longer used and will not be used at this facility going forward.
- The new company,All Valley Disposal, requires SDS's and agreement between them and the facility on the
determination before coming on site for pick up. All proper verification is made on site as well at time of pick-up
- I will be seeking training on hazardous waste regulations and will be then passing that improved knowledge to
facility employees via in person training.
- Training/Coaching was conducted with employees following the inspection and the violations noted, however a
more extensive training on waste determinations will be provided to the individuals that may make a
determination in the future.
- I am the only person at this facility that can schedule a hazardous waste pick-up, therefore following my
knowledge of this situation, I will be involved and checking everything prior to departure from our facility.
If there is any other information needed or additional actions the county believes we, at Pacific Ethanol, should do or
provide, do not hesitate to let me know.
Thank you.
Jordan Bottorff
EH&S Manager
Pacific Ethanol, Inc. 1 3028 Navy Dr. Stockton, CAI 95206
Office: 209.851.40771 Mobile: 510.904.7314 1 Fax: 209.235.0376 jbottorff@pacificethanol.com
From:John Alaniz [EH] [mailto:jalanizl@sjcehd.com]
Sent: Monday, February 4, 2019 9:45 AM
To:Jordan Bottorff<jbottorff@pacificethanol.com>
Subject: RE: Hazardous Waste Inspection Report
EXTERNAL EMAIL: Be cautious of incorrect email addresses and when opening attachments and links.
Hi Jordan,
Violation 110: CLOSED
Violation 111: CLOSED
Violation 406: CLOSED
1
