Existing and Proposed Septic Tank Usage <br /> Existing Septic System <br /> One septic system is currently located on the Site (Plate 3). <br /> Proposed Septic System <br /> Mr. Davis plans to install new septic systems for the new residences. <br /> On-Site Septic Permit History <br /> The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department septic permit files were <br /> searched for the Site address. Four permits were identified: <br /> • August 1977 permit for new residential septic system. The system utilized a <br /> 1,200-gallon septic tank, three 40-foot leach lines, and three 33-inch diameter by <br /> 25-foot deep seepage pits. <br /> • July 1990 permit for addition to septic system. A 40-foot leach line and a 33-inch <br /> diameter by 25-foot deep seepage pit were added to the existing system. <br /> • May 1999 permit for addition to septic system. An 85-foot leach line and a 36- <br /> inch diameter by 25-foot deep seepage pit were added to the existing system. <br /> • January 2015 permit for addition to septic system. A 40-foot leach line and three <br /> 36-inch diameter by 25-foot deep seepage pits were added to the existing <br /> system. <br /> These permits have been included in Appendix 4 of this report. <br /> Existing Septic Tank Usage in the Vicinity <br /> To estimate the septic system usage in the area, our office counted septic systems that <br /> exist within approximately one square mile surrounding the property. Air photo imagery <br /> from Google Earth was used. Each building cluster on the photograph was assumed to <br /> have one septic system. Using this method, it is estimated that at least 37 septic <br /> systems per square mile are located in the immediate vicinity of the Site. <br /> The vicinity of the Site is composed of rural residences, agricultural land, and vineyards. <br /> Three dairies are located within approximately one-third of ile of the Site. <br /> LOGE 20-20 Page 2 <br />
