All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#8 Pool and Deck Lighting1 <br />11 <br />0: <br />OBSERVATIONS: The pool light has been disconected from the circuit. The manager showed me the disconnected wires. <br />No swimming after dark is permitted unless light is reconnected. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pools used at night shall be equipped with underwater light fixtures that provide complete illumination of the <br />pool. When a pool is used at night, pool deck and emergency egress areas shall be provided with lighting. If underwater or deck lighting is <br />not operational, the pool operator shall post a sign in flinch letters stating "NO USE OF POOL ALLOWED AFTER DARK" and shall <br />secure the pool area and not permit any use of the pool after dark. (3115B) <br />#9 Ladders and Handrails <br />OBSERVATIONS: The main hand rail in the shallow end is loose, the hand rails should be secured to the deck. Secure the <br />handrail by the next routine inspection. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: A means of entry and exit shall be provided at both the shallow and deep end of the pool. Ladders and <br />handrails shall be corrosion resistant and shall be rigidly installed. At least one handrail shall extend from the deck to not less than a point <br />above the top of the lowest step. Handrails shall be installed between 28 to 36 inches above the steps and deck. (CBC 311 1B) Pool <br />operator shall keep ladders and handrails well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br />#18 Pool Shell and rile <br />OBSERVATIONS: There is a crack in the pool shell near the shallow end. Fill the crack or replace the tile before the next <br />routine inspection. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool shells shall be white and have a smooth waterproof interior finish that will withstand repeated brushing, <br />and scrubbing. A spa pool may be finished in a light color other than white when approved by the enforcement agency.
