Item 102-Cannot be closed until all disposal receipts are received by EHD.You state it will take 4 trips to dispose of all material,this is okay by me. I just cannot close the violations until all of it is hauled off.This violation will remain open, however it will not be a penalty. I also wanted to clarify that the purple primer is the waste glue I mentioned on the report, correct? (Yes, correct)There was also no mention of the used rags, were they hauled off to be laundered, if yes then I will need the most recent laundry receipt. (During the hazardous waste drop off in the month of July 2019 1 dropped off a small kitchen bag of oily paper rags and the two each cloth rags. I do not believe it was mentioned on the hazardous waste receipt) Item 301 (listed as 103 on the RTC)-I wanted to ask a couple of questions. Where was the grease trap (north side of shop beneath the canopy), I do not recall if I looked at it or not? (we walked right passed it) How often is this grease trap cleaned out? (We will need to research the last cleaning date. I believe it was a couple of years ago but we do not utilize the unit as we hire out our services and they are performed in the field. Is this grease trap an oil water separator? I believe the proper name for the unit is a sand/oil separator for use around equipment oils and greases. Please keep in mind all our equipment is serviced in the field on job sites by an outside mechanic firm. If it is an oil/water separator is recommended to clean out the oil/water separator annually.The best practice to clean oil stains would be to use rags or absorbent and haul off the rags or absorbent as hazardous waste.
