Appendix A <br /> Site Safety Plan <br /> • Hazardous Energy ( LO/TO) <br /> o Refer to 026 WEI HSE Program — Lockout/Tagout <br /> • Heat Illness <br /> o Heat stress will be a hazard during the hot weather and will be <br /> intensified when personnel are in protective clothing ( if necessary) . <br /> To prevent heat stress , personnel will be required to take breaks as <br /> needed and to consume adequate quantities of liquid . <br /> ■ Refer to 006 WEI HSE Program — Heat Illness Prevention <br /> Program <br /> WORK ZONES AND SECURITY MEASURES <br /> Temporary chain link fencing or barricades and caution tape will be used to deny the public <br /> access to these Exclusion Zones . The public will not be allowed close to the work area <br /> under any conditions . If for any reason the safety of a member of the public (e . g . , motorist , <br /> pedestrian , etc . ) may be endangered , work will cease until the situation is remedied . All <br /> combustion equipment will be clean and in good working order . All state and local safety <br /> requirements , including traffic control , are to be observed during this work . <br /> PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS <br /> Field personnel and visitors are required to wear the following clothing and equipment , as a <br /> minimum , while in the work area of the project site : <br /> • Hardhat <br /> • Hearing protection ( muffs or ear plugs) <br /> • Long pants & shirts <br /> • Safety glasses/goggles <br /> Safety Vest <br /> Steel toed shoes or boots <br /> Refer to 011 WEI HSE Program — PPE — Assessments <br /> EMERGENCY RESPONSE PROCEDURES <br /> In the event of an accident resulting in physical injury , first aid will be administered and the <br /> injured worker will be transported to the nearest hospital or emergency medical clinic for <br /> emergency medical clinic for emergency treatment . A physician 's attention is required <br /> regardless of the severity of the injury . <br /> In event of a fire , explosion , or property damage , the nearest Walton office (West Sac . ) will <br /> be immediately notified .
