Applied Geotechnology Inc. <br /> 2.0 SITE FEATURES <br /> 2.1 Setting <br /> The subject property occupies a total of 3.2 acres in San Joaquin County, <br /> California, inside the Stockton city limits. The site is located near the <br /> intersection of Navy Drive and State Route 4, approximately 1 mile south of <br /> the Port of Stockton. <br /> 2.2 Descriotion <br /> r<. <br /> The relatively level site is located southwest of the intersection of <br /> Tillie Lewis Drive and Navy Drive, as shown on Figure 1. About 1 acre of <br /> the property has been improved and was utilized by Donn Corporation, which <br /> was acquired by and became USG Interiors in April 1980. A single-story <br /> j factory and machine shop with an adjoining office building occupies the <br /> south-central portion of the site; this building comprises about 37,250 <br /> square feet of internal floor space and is not being used at this time. <br /> Open areas to the east, south, and west of the existing structure are <br /> asphalt paved. The north portion of the site is unpaved with only sparse <br /> ` vegetation. <br /> A shallow ditch captures surface water runoff from the paved area west of <br /> the existing building. The runoff is routed north toward Navy Drive, then <br /> east to the main roadside ditch along Tillie Lewis Drive, as shown on <br /> Figure 1. <br /> 2.3 Nearbv Land Use <br /> 1 The subject property is located within a primarily industrial and commer- <br /> cial area. Agricultural land exists about 1 mile to the south. Santa Fe <br /> Railroad tracks border the southern boundary of the site and PDM Strocal <br /> Inc. is located adjacent to the western site boundary. Laidlaw Corporation <br /> of the West is located immediately east of the site; numerous warehouses <br /> are located to the southeast and south; and various enterprises are located <br /> along Navy Drive just north of the site.
