A hazardous waste generator shall not treat, <br /> store, dispose of, transport or offer for transportation, hazardous waste without a hazardous waste ID number. Go <br /> to the DTSC web site https://dtsc.ca.gov/apply-for-hazardous-waste-epa-id-number/to reactivate the ID number. <br /> Immediately reactivate your ID number and submit evidence to the EHD. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 102 CCR 66262.11 Failed to determine if a waste is a hazardous waste. <br /> -Spent gel coat filters are being disposed of in the trash dumpster without first making a hazardous waste <br /> determination. Gel coat is reported on the facility's CERS chemical inventory as a hazardous material. <br /> -One 1 gallon metal container of Penetrol was observed on the ground outside on the west side of the shop. Owner, <br /> Komet Choopratheep, did not know what the contents of the container was. <br /> -One 1 gallon container approximately half full of dried paint was observed outside on the south side of the shop. <br /> -One 5 gallon bucket approximately 3/4 full of dried resin and one 5 gallon bucket approximately 1/4 full of dried resin <br /> were observed outside on the south side of the shop. Per Komet Choopratheep, Owner, he puts the resin out in the <br /> sun to dry. <br /> Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. Immediately stop disposal of <br /> spent gel coat filters in the trash and drying resin outside and make a hazardous waste determination for the spent <br /> gel coat filters, one gallon paint container, five gallon buckets of dried resin and one gallon container of Penetrol, and <br /> manage it according the Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement and supporting documentation <br /> explaining how this waste was managed. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class Il. <br /> 104 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) No modified contingency plan. <br /> An emergency coordinator and modified contingency plan information is lacking. There must be at least one <br /> emergency coordinator on site or on call to coordinate emergency response measures, and the following information <br /> must be posted by a phone:the name and phone number of the emergency coordinator; location of fire <br /> extinguishers, spill control equipment, and if present, fire alarm; and the phone number of the fire department, unless <br /> the facility has a direct alarm. Immediately appoint an emergency coordinator and post the required information by a <br /> phone. A form is provided that can be used for this purpose.
