SAN J D AR I N Environmental Health Department <br /> I Y <br /> Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br /> Facility Name: Facility Address: Date: <br /> TRANS AMERICAN, INC. 1 1838 VICKI LN, STOCKTON October 02, 2019 <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> (CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> Item# Remarks <br /> 101 CCR 66262.12 Managed a hazardous waste without an identification number. <br /> OBSERVATION: This business does not have a hazardous waste ID number in the California Department of Toxic <br /> Substances Control (DTSC)database.The ID number provided on the California Environmental reporting System <br /> (CERS)CAC002796736 is only a provisional number.A permanent hazardous waste ID number must be obtained if <br /> a business generates any amount if hazardous waste. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: A hazardous waste generator shall not treat, store, dispose of,transport or offer for <br /> transportation, hazardous waste without having received an Environmental Protection Agency(EPA) Identification <br /> (ID) Number.A State EPA ID number is required for generators of less than 100 kg RCRA hazardous waste per <br /> month, less than one kg of acutely hazardous waste per month or any amount of non-RCRA hazardous waste. ID <br /> numbers are unique to a business and site location. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Go to the DTSC web site at https://dtsc.ca.gov/apply-for-hazardous-waste-epa-id-number/ <br /> to obtain a State ID number. Immediately apply for your ID number and submit evidence to the San Joaquin <br /> County Environmental Health Department within 30 days. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 104 CCR 66262.34(d)(2)No modified contingency plan. <br /> OBSERVATION: A complete modified contingency plan was not posted at the facility. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: The business operator must post the following information next to telephones or in <br /> areas directly involved in the generation and accumulation of hazardous waste: the name and emergency <br /> telephone number of the emergency coordinator, the location of fire extinguishers and spill control material, and the <br /> telephone number of the fire department unless the facility has a direct alarm. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: The violation was corrected during the inspection by Plant Manager Javier Garcia while <br /> inspector was on site.
