If concrete will be broken near the tank, a secondary containment test must be performed on <br /> the affected LISTs once concrete is poured in accordance with the manufacturer's guidelines <br /> 5 . Any individual performing the work of a service technician must meet the following <br /> qualifications : <br /> a . Possess or be employed by a person who possesses one of several permissible valid , <br /> current contractor's licenses issued by the Contractors State License Board (may be issued <br /> to the installation company) , or a Tank Tester's license issued to the individual by the State <br /> Water Board , and <br /> b. Possess or work under the direct and personal supervision of an individual physically <br /> present at the work site who possesses a valid , current California UST Service Technician <br /> certificate issued by the International Code Council (ICC) , and <br /> c. Possesses a valid , current certificate of training from the manufacturer(s) of the <br /> component(s) being tested , repaired , or serviced . <br /> 6. Individuals installing underground storage tank system components must possess or work <br /> under the direct and personal supervision of an individual physically present at the work site <br /> who possesses all of the following : <br /> a . A valid , current contractor's license issued by the Contractors State License Board , and <br /> b. A valid , current UST Installation/Retrofitting certificate issued by the International Code <br /> Council ( ICC) , and <br /> c. A valid , current certificate of training from the manufacturer(s) of the component(s) being <br /> installed . <br /> 7 . All components must be certified by an independent testing organization and labeled as <br /> required by the organization ( UL , ULC , ANSI , API , ASTM , etc. ) . See California Code of <br /> Regulations (CCR) Title 23 , Chapter 16, Table B for a complete list . <br /> 8 . Permit expires 180 days from the date of approval .
