James Hewlett, Plant Manager,was not sure if the wastes were hazardous. <br /> Morada Forklift services the forklifts and the technician takes automatic transmission fluid and used antifreeze back <br /> to his service shop. <br /> Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. Immediately cease disposal <br /> of the oily rags, oily drill shavings, automatic transmission fluid, and used antifreeze, make a hazardous waste <br /> determination for each waste, and manage them according to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a <br /> statement and supporting documentation explaining how these wastes will be managed. <br /> Note: For metal fines, particles 100 microns or smaller must be handled as hazardous waste if the metal is <br /> determined to be a hazardous waste. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 605 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> In the hazardous waste storage area, one black 55 gallon steel drum containing used oil(1/4 full)was observed with <br /> a hazardous waste label missing the accumulation start date, the hazardous property, and the physical property. <br /> All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br /> -the words"Hazardous Waste" <br /> -name and address of generator <br /> -hazardous properties <br /> -physical state <br /> -composition(contents) <br /> -accumulation start date <br /> Immediately label the container and ensure that all hazardous waste containers are marked with all the required <br /> information. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br /> documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br /> paperwork, by September 7, 2019. <br /> Starting September 1, 2018, all in-office CERS help will be provided at EHD hourly rate ($152).
