From: Gaitan,Jason
Sent:Wednesday,June 5, 2019 8:29 AM
To: 'Smith, Sheryl' <sasmith@tusd.net>
Cc: Flores,Anthony<anthonvflores@tusd.net>; Goodall, Casey<cgoodall@tusd.net>
Subject: RE: Return to Compliance Certification - Kimball High School
Hi Mrs. Smith,
I looked over your return to compliance and I closed out item 104 and item 105 in the amended inspection report.
I will go more into detail what is needed for the rest of the items to hopefully make things easier:
-Item 102: 1 need a statement that confirms that this school will be handling metal fines as a hazardous waste or a non-
hazardous waste. Same goes for the lead acid batteries, do you plan on recycling them or disposing them. If you do
determine that you are treating them as hazardous waste, please properly dispose of them and provide disposal
receipts.
-item 601 and item 605: since the 5-20 ounce lab pack containers are going to be hauled off,the copy of the waste
manifest will be needed to close out this violation. It appears this site is already scheduled to have the manifest sent to
me by June 7t", so I can perhaps close out these violations sometime this week or early next week.
-item 715: what was provided to me in the return to compliance certification were sales receipts. I need disposal
receipts, for universal waste such as fluorescent lights they typically are hauled off with a bill of lading. Please provide
the bill of lading or any disposal receipts for the fluorescent lights.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
Thank you,
JASON GAITAN
EHS
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
1868 E.Hazelton Ave.Stockton,CA95205
(209)561-7298
(209)468-9848
From: Smith, Sheryl <sasmith@tusd.net>
Sent:Tuesday,June 4, 2019 4:46 PM
To: Gaitan,Jason <jgaitan@sigov.org>
Cc: Flores,Anthony<anthonvflores@tusd.net>; Goodall, Casey<cgoodall@tusd.net>
Subject: RE: Return to Compliance Certification - Kimball High School
Thank you.
