w <br /> January 11, 1996 <br /> TO: ALL PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS <br /> REQUEST FOR QUOTES FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES TO PROVIDE SOIL AND <br /> GROUNDWATER INVESTIGATION "WORK PLAN" FOR CITY OF STOCKTON'S FIRE . <br /> STATION # 1 and # 3 - REMOVED FUEL TANK ITES. <br /> The City of Stockton Public Works Department/Soli Waste Division is requesting soil and <br /> groundwater investigation Work Plan quotes for Fire Station # 1, located at 1701 West <br /> Washington Street and Fire Station # 3, located at 1116 First Street. (See attached plot <br /> pian.) <br /> Background Information: <br /> On December 23, 1992 a five hundred gallon diesel fuel tank was removed at Fire Station <br /> # 1 and on June 28, 1989 a 500 gallon gasoline tank removed at Fire Station # 3. <br /> Initial sample analysis taken indicated TPH and BE7 EX soil contamination at unsatisfactory <br /> levels. See attached analysis. <br /> Public Health Services is requesting samples be aken to determine the horizontal and <br /> vertical extent of the contamination. <br /> The Work Plan shall include the following. <br /> The itemized per unit cost for: <br /> a) Monitoring wells (to 30' depth if waters encountered) including ground water <br /> test results. <br /> b) Determine the vertical and horizontal extent of soil contaminations. Angle drill <br /> and/or core drill as required to make determination. <br />
