All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR' pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#25 Spa Emergency Shut Off Switch MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: Spa emergency shut-off switch not working as required. Spa closed until emergency shut-off switch <br />works to shut down both the jet and filter pumps. Contact the San Joaquin Environmental Health Department to set up a <br />re -inspection, once the repairs are complete. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: A clearly labeled emergency shut off switch for both the spa recirculation and jet/aeration systems shall be <br />installed adjacent to the spa pool. (CBC 3138B) <br />#18 Pool Shell and Tile <br />OBSERVATIONS: Spa shell is discolored and dingy making it difficult to properly clean. Clean or replace shell. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION. Pool shells shall be white and have a smooth waterproofinterlor finish that will withstand repeated brushing, <br />and scrubbing. A spa pool may be finished in a light color other than white when approved by the enforcement agency. (CBC 31088) <br />#26 Spa Operating Temperature <br />OBSERVATIONS: Spa water temperature was measured at 104.2 degrees Fahrenheit. The temperature is not to exceed <br />104.0 degrees Fahrenheit. Reduce the operating temperature of the heater to an acceptable level. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Spa temperature shall not exceed 104"F. (CBC 31388) <br />#31 Disinfectant Feeders <br />OBSERVATIONS: A chlorine tablet was found in the spa skimmer assembly. Use proper disinfectant feeders to prevent <br />damage to spa equipment and to prevent excessive disinfectant levels. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION., Each pool shall be provided with a system capable of continuous disinfection of the pool water. (CBC 3123B) <br />Disinfectant feeders shall be capable of supplying not less than the equivalent of pounds of 100 percent available chlorine per day per <br />10,000 gallons of pool water. (CBC 31348) <br />#35 Flow Meters <br />OBSERVATIONS: Flow meter was dirty and unreadable. Clean flow meter so that accurate observations can take place. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Flow meters shall be provided on each recirculation system and shall be installed in accordance with <br />manufacturer's specifications.
