Typical
activities that were performed during t:e visit included equipment inspection, instrument calibration,
influent and effluent concentration measurements, and control system adjustments. A hand-held
organic vapor analyzer(OVA)was used by field technicians to measure hydrocarbon concentrations
and one tedlar air bag sample was collected for laboratory analysis. On August 15, 1990 the flow rate
was increased to 100 standard cubic feet per minute.
Based on operating parameters listed on Table A,approximately 2150 pounds(354 gallons)of gasoline
have been extracted during this reporting period. The remediation system has been operating since
August 1989, and since then, approximately 21,000 pounds (3,400 gallons) of gasoline have been
extracted and properly treated. Attached are two figures which show Gasoline Extracted Per Month
(Figure 1) and Cumulative Gasoline Extracted (Figure 2).
4
Have a safe day,
1D PONT ENVIRONMENTAL REMEDIATION SER C
Joseph A.De Biaso,Jr. Robert A.Kahn, PE, REA
Staff Engineer Engineering Manager
-J.-XD/RAK:vo/rw ------ --
Attachments: Table A- Operating Parameters
Table B - Summary of Soil Vapor Laboratory Results
!
