Du Punt Envirlllninenlid Services
Junk, 29, 1990
Joh No. 1088-012-4
Conoco Inc.
600 North Dairy Ashford
TR 3056
Houston, Texas 77079
ATTENTION: Mr. Gregory P. Fletcher
SUBJECT: Quarterly Ground -Water Sampling Report
April 1990
Former Econo Gas Station
4325 Gast Washington Street
Stockton, California
Dear Mr. Fletcher:
INTRODUCTION
This report presents the results of the quarterly ground -water sampling which was conducted at the former Econo
• Gas Station, 4325 East Washington Street, Stockton, California (see the Location Map, Figure 1), on
April 25, 1990. The purpose of this sampling program is to monitor and evaluate the extent of hydrocarbon
contamination in the ground water at the subject property.
SUMMARY
A summary of data regarding ground -water levels for the April 1990 quarter is prose^ted in Table A. Ground-
water levels in monitoring wells MW -303 and MW -304 have dropped an average of approximately 2 feet since
the last quarterly sampling. Monitoring wells MW -1 through MW -26 remained dry this quarter. The lack- of a
sufficient number of water level data points prevents a determination of the ground -water gradient (see the
Ground -Water Elevation Map on the Expanded Site Plan, Figure 2). Chemical analytical results indicate
nondetectable concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons in the ground water in monitoring wells MW -303 and
MW -304 (see Table B and Appendix B). Figure 3 presents benzene concentrations within the ground water for
the site. This site is scheduled to be resampled during July 1990.
Respectfully submitted,
DU PONT ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES
— Steven W. Pierce David J.
