All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #4 Safety Equipment <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The pole with the safety hook attached was only 9 ft long. The pole must be a minimum of 12 feet in <br /> length. This was corrected on site. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use.Pools shall have at <br /> minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br /> rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br /> (CCR 65540) <br /> #7 Pool Deck <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Dirt accumulating on the pool deck. The pool operator must keep the pool deck well maintained. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:An unobstructed 4-foot wide deck of concrete or like material shall be provided and maintained flush with the <br /> top of the pool coping. Deck shall extend completely around the pool and shall further extend 4 feet on both sides and to the rear of any <br /> diving board,ADA device, or slide. (CBC 31148)Pool operator shall keep the pool deck well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br /> #16 Water Clarity <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Upon arrival, pool was cloudy so that the bottom pool drain is not visible. Pool is to be closed until the <br /> pool water is clear and the pool drain at the bottom is visible. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall maintain clear pool water while pool is in use or shall close the pool if the bottom of the <br /> pool at the maximum depth is not clearly visible from the deck. (CCR 65527) <br /> #17 Cleanliness of Pool <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Large amount of dirt on the bottom of the pool.The pool operator must maintain a clean pool. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall maintain clean pool water while the pool is in use and shall not allow debris to accumulate <br /> in the pool. Pool operator shall clean the bottom, sides,and other surfaces of the pool as often as necessary to keep pool surfaces clean <br /> and free of slime and algae.
