All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #3 Safety Signs <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The facility address is lacking on the safety sign, Provide the address of the facility before the next <br /> routine inspection. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535)Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br /> letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall,pole,gate, or similar <br /> permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified. (CBC 3120B) <br /> #9 Ladders and Handrails <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Handrails are loose. Sturdy handrails must be provided. Secure the handrails before the next routine <br /> inspection. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:A means of entry and exit shall be provided at both the shallow and deep end of the pool.Ladders and <br /> handrails shall be corrosion resistant and shall be rigidly installed.At least one handrail shall extend from the deck to not less than a point <br /> above the top of the lowest step.Handrails shall be installed between 28 to 36 inches above the steps and deck. (CBC 3111B)Pool <br /> operator shall keep ladders and handrails well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Free chlorine measured at 0.6 ppm. Pool operator must maintain free chlorine levels between 1.0 and <br /> 10.0 ppm. Corrected on site to 1.6 ppm. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Public pools, when open or in use,shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br /> the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br /> or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools,and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations:3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br /> chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br /> #14 Chemical Water Test Kit <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Provide a test kit so that the pool chemistry can be measured daily, specifically:free chlorine, combined <br /> chlorine, pH, and Cyanuric acid. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall maintain a test kit for measuring the disinfectant residual, combined chlorine,pH,and <br /> cyanuric acid(if used)at the pool. Test kit shall be available at all times the pool is in use. Chlorine and bromine test kits shall be DPD <br /> type.
