All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Chlorine measured at 0.4 ppm.The free chlorine must be maintained between 1.0 and 10.0 ppm. <br /> Corrected on site to 1.0 ppm. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Public pools, when open or in use,shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br /> the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br /> or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools,and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations:3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br /> chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br /> #11 Combined Chlorine Concentration <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Combined chlorine measured at 1.4 ppm.The Combined chlorine concentration should not exceed 0.4 <br /> ppm. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall maintain combined chlorine concentration below 0.4 ppm. (CCR 65530) Chemical quality <br /> of pool water and indoor air quality at the pool site shall not cause adverse physiological effects, such as irritation of the eyes,lungs,or <br /> skin. (CCR 65531) <br /> #22 Skimmer Assembly <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Skimmer on the north side was filled with dirt and debris, skimmers should be checked daily. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool shall be equipped to provide continuous skimming of the pool water. All parts of the skimmer shall be <br /> maintained in accordance with manufacturer specifications. (CBC 3136B) <br /> #30 Pool Equipment and Plumbing Maintained <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The skimmer on the north side had no circulation in it.This caused the water to become stagnant and <br /> nasty. <br /> Ensure there is adequate flow through all skimmers. <br /> Repaired on site,the clog in the pipe was dislodged by Dan Craft, Facilities manager. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:All equipment related to pool operations shall be installed and maintained in accordance with manufacturer's <br /> specifications and shall comply with applicable requirements established by applicable NSF/ANSI-50 performance standards.
