Environmental Health Department <br />Time In: <br /> 9:30 am <br /> 9:00 am <br />Time Out: <br />Program Element: 3699 - POOL/SPA - OUT OF SERVICE <br />Telephone: Owner/Operator: NOBEL LEARNING COMMUNITY <br />Inspection Type: ROUTINE INSPECTION - Operating Permit <br />Address: 4811 RIVERBROOK DR, STOCKTON 95219 <br />Date: 08/07/2018Name of Facility: MERRYHILL SCHOOL <br />Swimming Pool Official Inspection Report <br />VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br />Items listed on this report as violations do not meet the requirements set forth in the California Health and Safety Code section(s) 116043, 116040, & <br />116050. All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br /> #2 Pool Enclosure <br />OBSERVATIONS: Pool area is not enclosed, currently school is not in session and construction is taking place. Ensure that <br />the pool area is properly enclosed meeting the corresponding Code before school starts. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool area shall be enclosed by one or more of the following: a fence, portion of a building, wall, or other <br />approved durable enclosure. Pool enclosure shall be constructed over a hard permanent material equivalent to concrete and shall be <br />installed no more than 2 inches above the finished grade. Holes, gaps, or openings in the enclosure shall not allow the passage of a <br />4-inch diameter sphere. Doors, openable windows, or gates of living quarters shall not be permitted as part of the pool enclosure. (CBC <br />3119B) Pool operator shall keep the pool enclosure well maintained. (CCR 65535) Pool enclosure shall have a minimum effective <br />perpendicular height of 5 feet and shall be constructed so that it cannot be climbed by small children. Horizontal members shall be spaced <br />at least 48 inches apart. No planters or other climbable structures shall be permitted within 5 feet of the pool enclosure or within a 5-foot <br />arc. Chain link openings shall not be larger than 1 3/4 inches when measured horizontally. Pool enclosures with a height of 4 or more feet <br />are allowed if the enclosure was constructed prior to July 1994. (CBC 3119B) <br /> #17 Cleanliness of Pool <br />OBSERVATIONS: Pool is empty and has debris from construction activity in it. Remove the debris before filling the pool. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain clean pool water while the pool is in use and shall not allow debris to accumulate <br />in the pool. Pool operator shall clean the bottom, sides, and other surfaces of the pool as often as necessary to keep pool surfaces clean <br />and free of slime and algae.
