PHS/EHD has prepared the following comments for
your consideration.
The investigation of soil and groundwater which occurred during September 1994 provided information to determine
the extent of soil contamination. Soil contamination was detected in soil borings, SBI and SB2, both of which were
converted into vapor extraction wells, VEI and VE2. Soil boring, S135, was also converted into a vapor extraction
well, VE3.
The quarterly report indicated that the flow direction was westerly and that groundwater contamination was not
detected in samples collected on October 12, 1994.
Pursuant to the California Code of Regulations, Title 23, Division 3, Chapter 16, Underground Storage Tank
Regulations Sections 2725, a corrective action pian is required and should be submitted by April 14, 1995.
If you have any questions, comments or wish to schedule a site inspection, please contact Mary Meays, Senior REHS,
of my staff at (209) 468-0337.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director;
Environmental Health Division
' vi
mt,c,f
Mary Meays, Senior REHS
Site Mitigation Unit
MM13300WAT
c: Elizabeth Thayer, CVRWQCB
c: M.L.
