All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Free chlorine measured at 0.6 ppm.The chlorine in the pool needs to be between 2.0 and 10.0 when <br /> cyanuric acid is present. <br /> Pool is to be closed until chlorine levels are between 2.0 and 10.0 ppm. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Public pools, when open or in use,shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br /> the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br /> or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools,and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations:3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br /> chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br /> #13 Cyanuric Acid Concentration <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Cyanuric acid concentration is above 100 ppm. Cyanuric acid should not go above 100 ppm. Lifeguard <br /> staff mentioned that the pool was drained recently, so correct this level before the next routine inspection. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall maintain cyanuric acid concentration between 0.0 ppm and 100 ppm. (CCR 65530) <br /> #22 Skimmer Assembly <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Dead bugs found in the skimmer baskets. Clean skimmer baskets routinely for sanitation purposes. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool shall be equipped to provide continuous skimming of the pool water. All parts of the skimmer shall be <br /> maintained in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
