All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #2 Pool Enclosure <br /> OBSERVATIONS:There is a hole in the enclosure that allows the door to be opened from the outside. Repair this hole by <br /> the next inspection.A picture was sent to the property management company. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool area shall be enclosed by one or more of the following:a fence,portion of a building, wall, or other <br /> approved durable enclosure.Pool enclosure shall be constructed over a hard permanent material equivalent to concrete and shall be <br /> installed no more than 2 inches above the finished grade. Holes,gaps,or openings in the enclosure shall not allow the passage of a <br /> 4-inch diameter sphere.Doors, openable windows,or gates of living quarters shall not be permitted as part of the pool enclosure. (CBC <br /> 31198) Pool operator shall keep the pool enclosure well maintained. (CCR 65535) Pool enclosure shall have a minimum effective <br /> perpendicular height of 5 feet and shall be constructed so that it cannot be climbed by small children.Horizontal members shall be spaced <br /> at least 48 inches apart. No planters or other climbable structures shall be permitted within 5 feet of the pool enclosure or within a 5-foot <br /> arc. Chain link openings shall not be larger than 1314 inches when measured horizontally. Pool enclosures with a height of 4 or more feet <br /> are allowed if the enclosure was constructed prior to July 1994. (CBC 31198) <br /> #4 Safety Equipment <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Life ring is still lacking rope. Provide a rope that can reach the entire length of the pool by next routine <br /> inspection. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use.Pools shall have at <br /> minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br /> rope.
