All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #8 Pool and Deck Lighting <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Light needs to be repaired or replaced. Spa can only be open during daylight hours until light is functional <br /> and inspected by the Environmental Health Department. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pools used at night shall be equipped with underwater light fixtures that provide complete illumination of the <br /> pool. When a pool is used at night,pool deck and emergency egress areas shall be provided with lighting. If underwater or deck lighting is <br /> not operational, the pool operator shall post a sign in 4-inch letters stating"NO USE OF POOL ALLOWED AFTER DARK"and shall <br /> secure the pool area and not permit any use of the pool after dark. (31158) <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Chlorine measured at over 40 ppm. The concentration of chlorine in the pool should be between 2.0 and <br /> 10.0 when using cyanuric acid. Spa must be closed until the chemicals in the pool return to compliance. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Public pools, when open or in use,shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br /> the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br /> or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools,and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations:3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br /> chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br /> #13 Cyanuric Acid Concentration <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Cyanuric acid measured at greater than 100 ppm. Cyanuric acid concentration should be between 30 <br /> and 100 ppm. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall maintain cyanuric acid concentration between 0.0 ppm and 100 ppm. (CCR 65530) <br /> #27 Pool Equipment Room <br /> OBSERVATIONS:There are vines and other overgrown vegetation in the pump room and the deck trellis. Remove <br /> overgrowth by next routine inspection so that pumps, and switches are easily accessible for repair. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall keep ancillary facilities well maintained. (CCR 65535)All filters, valves,pumps,strainers <br /> and equipment shall be readily accessible for repair and replacement.
