Dollar General #14353, 915 E Yosemite Ave. Manteca, CA
07/31/2019
PHOTO # 54
Continuation of comment on page 34:
Record ID PR0537831
CUPA — Haz. Waste
4. The waste items listed below were also found bagged and inside the Oxidizer HW tote (IMG 7849-55, 7857, 7859, 7861, 7875):
- A bag containing Dial soap bars, an unlabeled bottle leaking a clear liquid, a bottle of Power Stick 2 -in -1 Body Wash & Shampoo, a DG Mini Camping
Lantern (electronic), a pack of DG Eye Makeup Remover Pads, and a bag of Tide laundry detergent pods.
According to the PSC guidance document for Toxic HW, body soaps, shampoos, and laundry detergents are to be placed in a Toxic HW tote. It could not
be determined which HW tote the DG Eye Makeup Remover Pads belonged in, since the item was previously also found in the Toxic HW tote and there
was no indication by the scanner or guidance documents which HW tote the item belonged in.
- The unlabeled leaking bottle leaked onto other items in the tote and into the bottom of the tote. The bag that contained the leaking bottle did not have
absorbent pads. According to the PSC HW guidance documents, absorbent pads should be added to bags to absorb any free flowing liquids.
Elianna Florido, REHS Page 54 of 131
