<br />- A bag containing Dial soap bars, an unlabeled bottle leaking a clear liquid, a bottle of Power Stick 2 -in -1 Body
<br />Wash & Shampoo, a DG Mini Camping Lantern (electronic), a pack of DG Eye Makeup Remover Pads, and a bag of
<br />Tide laundry detergent pods.
<br />According to the PSC guidance document for Toxic HW, body soaps, shampoos, and laundry detergents are to be
<br />placed in a Toxic HW tote. It could not be determined which HW tote the DG Eye Makeup Remover Pads belonged in,
<br />since the item was previously also found in the Toxic HW tote and there was no indication by the scanner or guidance
<br />documents which HW tote the item belonged in.
<br />- The unlabeled leaking bottle leaked onto other items in the tote and into the bottom of the tote. The bag that
<br />contained the leaking bottle did not have absorbent pads. According to the PSC HW guidance documents, absorbent
<br />pads should be added to bags to absorb any free flowing liquids.
<br />7. The waste items listed below were found bagged and inside the Alkaline HW tote (IMG 7862-7900):
<br />- A Dove Advanced Care deodorant, which the scanner indicated should be placed in a Toxic HW tote.
<br />- Two partially filled containers of Windex Original glass cleaner. According to the PSC Flammable HW guidance
<br />document and label, glass cleaners are to be placed in the Flammable HW tote.
<br />- A box containing nine LED flashlights
<br />- Two Duracell batteries. According to the DG Environmental Compliance Program Training, batteries are to be
<br />placed in the Universal Waste tote with the battery terminals taped prior to placing in a bag, however according to the
<br />Alkaline HW tote label, alkaline household batteries are to be placed into the Alkaline HW tote.
<br />- Two Dmatch Windproof Lighters, containing lighter fluid, which according to the PSC Flammable HW guidance
<br />should be placed into the Flammable HW tote.
<br />- A bag of D -Con Disposable Bait Stations, which had a warning label stating the product is toxic to fish, birds, and
<br />wildlife.
<br />- A Sergeant's Dual Action Flea & Tick Collar for dogs. The PSC Toxic HW guidance document pictured a
<br />Sergeant's flea killer for cats and states insecticides should be placed in the Toxic HW tote.
<br />- A bag containing an aerosol can of Off! insect repellent, an aerosol can of Ozium air sanitizer, a container of DG
<br />Cocoa Butter Lotion, a container of Palmolive dish soap, Apricot face scrub, Zyrtec allergy medicine, and an open
<br />container of Long Lasting Odor Absorbing Gel. According to the PSC HW guidance documents, aerosols are to be
<br />placed in a Flammable HW tote; over-the-counter health and beauty items, such as lotions and body/face washes are
<br />to be placed in a Toxic HW tote; liquid dish soaps and medicines are to be placed in a Toxic HW tote; and air
<br />fresheners are to be placed in a Flammable HW tote.
<br />- A bag containing two aerosol cans, one of which was Fix A Flat Tire Inflator & Sealer, a container of clear Gorilla
<br />Glue, two containers of Super Glue, a Wireless Gear Sync & Charge Cable, a DG hardware Mini Camping Lantern, an
<br />Old Spice 80th Anniversary deodorant stick, and a battery operated Musical Phone toy. According to PSC HW
<br />guidance documents, aerosols are to be placed in a Flammable HW tote and OTC health and beauty items, such as
<br />deodorant, are to be placed in a Toxic HW tote. According to Steve adhesives and glues are to be placed in a
<br />Flammable HW tote. According to the DG Environmental Compliance Program Training, electronics are to be placed
<br />in a Universal Waste tote.
<br />- A 20 -Ib bag of Ice & Snow Melter Advanced Formula with Corrosion Inhibitor, which the scanner indicated should
<br />be placed in a Toxic HW tote.
<br />- A bag containing an Art Skills electronic hot glue gun, a leaking container of Suave Sun -Ripened Strawberry hair
<br />conditioner, and a box of Tylenol medicine. According to the DG Environmental Compliance Program Training,
<br />electronics are to be placed in a Universal Waste tote. According to the PSC HW guidance documents, OTC health &
<br />beauty, such as hair conditioner, and medicines, are to be placed in a Toxic HW tote.
