The purpose of this <br /> computer- based education module is to provide CDCR and CCHCS staff with information on their role <br /> in appropriate medical waste disposal at the point of waste generation . <br /> This required training is designed for designated CDCR and CCHCS staff who generate and/or dispose <br /> of regulated waste, any staff directly associated with the generation and /or disposal of regulated <br /> waste as indicated in the attached list of required classifications ( Attachment A ), and the managers <br /> and supervisors who oversee these classifications . Any classifications who are not included on <br /> Attachment A but have been identified as being required to take the training can be added by <br /> contacting the Staff Development Unit (SDU ) at cchcsSDULMSTrainingHelp@cdcr . ca . gov . <br /> The course must be completed within 60 days of hire and annually thereafter, with a copy of the <br /> completion certificate in the training file . Managers/supervisors shall provide SDU with the names of <br /> their staff who they have identified as being required to take the training . Staff that are required to <br /> take the training will automatically be enrolled in the eLearning course via the Learning Management <br /> System ( LMS ) and will receive an email notification within five business days of the date of this memo . <br /> Once enrolled , staff will have 60 days to complete the course from the date of enrollment . The course <br /> will take two to three hours to complete . Staff will not be required to complete the course in one <br /> sitting . <br /> P . O .
